WORLD'S BEST SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
5 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Beat together first 6 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with glass bottom dipped in sugar. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
