TEXAS HASH 
3 lg. onions, sliced
1 lg. green pepper, minced
2 tbsp. fat
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. can tomatoes
1/2 c. washed uncooked rice
2 tsp. chili powder
Salt & pepper to taste

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Saute onions and green pepper in hot fat until yellow. Add ground beef and fry until mixture falls apart. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 2 quart baking dish. Cover and bake 1 hour. Remove cover last 15 minutes. 4-6 servings.
