CHICKEN DRESSING CASSEROLE 
3/4 c. minced onion
1 qt. shredded chicken
1/2 c. butter
3 c. chicken broth
12 oz. mushrooms (opt.)
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sage
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. powdered garlic
10 c. bread, broken

Mix all the ingredients together except the bread crumbs, baking powder and chicken. Cook over medium heat until the celery and onions are tender. Let the cooked mixture cool then add the chicken, baking powder and the bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, covered. While baking, make your favorite chicken gravy and pour over the casserole just before serving. Serves 10 to 12.
