RAISED YEAST DOUGHNUTS (Paczki) 
5 to 6 c. flour
1 cake of yeast
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 tbsp. of lard
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. lukewarm water

Heat milk with lard and butter until melted. Let cool. Put yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water with a little sugar and let raise. Sift flour, salt, and sugar into a large bowl or pot. Add eggs, milk and lastly the yeast. let raise for 1 1/2 hours then roll gently on floured board about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into round circles with a medium size glass. Fry in Crisco until light brown on both sides. When cool dust with powdered sugar. Makes 6 dozen.
