"RAW APPLE CAKE" 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
4 c. finely diced pared apples
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs
1 c. raisins

Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add apples, shortening, nuts, raisins and eggs. Beat until thoroughly mixed. Pour batter into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until done. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.
