TURTLE CAKE 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 1/3 c. water
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 c. pecans
1 c. chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) bag caramels

In double boiler melt caramels with milk until smooth. Mix cake, butter, water and eggs. Pour 1/2 of batter in 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Pour caramel mixture over partially baked cake. Spread to 1/2" of pan edge.

Sprinkle chips and nuts over caramel mixture. Pour the rest of the cake batter on top. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or topping.
