SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Mix together shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients and mix with sugar mixture. Chill dough 1/2 hour to an hour. Roll into little balls and roll into cinnamon and sugar. Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
