GENE'S VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 lb. stewmeat
2 pkg. French's beef stew seasoning mix
1 lg. onion
2 (15 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
1/2 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 lb. carrots, sliced into coins
5 med. potatoes, quartered with skins on
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn

Brown meat in large Dutch oven with 2 tablespoons Crisco shortening. Add 4 to 6 cups hot water. Slice onion and add. Let simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender. Add stewed tomatoes, carrots, celery, and seasoning mix. Bring to a boil, simmer until tender. Add potatoes. During last 1/2 hour before serving, add beans, peas and corn. Cook until tender. Serves 4.
