LIGHT BREAD PUDDING 
4 slices buttered bread cut in squares
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. rich milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat eggs and sugar, add milk and vanilla, add buttered bread and bake at 300 degrees for about 40 minutes or until custard is set.

NOTE: Cinnamon or nutmeg can be lightly sprinkled on top, before baking.

HOMEMADE BROWN SUGAR:

2 tbsp. molasses
1 c. granulated sugar

Stir with a fork. Store brown sugar in airtight container. A fruit jar will do fine.

I use this recipe - but do NOT butter the bread first. It seems to keep rest of ingredients form soaking in as good.

I put first 5 ingredients together - then put a few dots of butter over top... then sprinkle on choice of cinnamon or nutmeg. This is an old time recipe. Thank you for submitting...
