EASY REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
6 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
2 c. thinly sliced onions
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar (I used white)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric

In a glass bowl alternate layers of the cucumbers and onions. In a medium pan combine sugar, vinegar and spices. Bring to a boil. Stir until sugar dissolves. Pour brine over cucumbers and onions. Cool slightly. Cover tight and refrigerate at least 24 hours before using. (Delicious.) Makes 7 cups.
