GRAMPA'S BEEF ROULADEN 
2 packs beef rouladen
1 large onion, chopped
12 strips uncooked bacon, diced
2 tablespoons maille Dijon mustard
4-5 dashes Maggi sauce
salt and pepper
beef Bisto (or bouillon)
water
toothpicks
**med size cast-iron frying pan

Mix onion, bacon, mustard, Maggi, salt and pepper. Spread mixture over roulades. Roll up and secure with toothpicks.

Brown roulades in cast iron frying pan. Cover with foil and bake in the oven for 45 mins at 350°F.

Remove roulades from pan, set aside covered. Heat meat juices in pan to boil on stove. Add bisto mixture according to package directions to make gravy.

Return the roulades to pan and serve.

Best with mashed potatoes.
