SARAH'S TEA PARTY CINNAMON HONEY
SCONES
 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
6 tbsp. butter, softened
1 tbsp. honey
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
Honey (optional)
Butter (optional)

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Mix with a wooden spoon in a bowl the flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Work butter into mixture by hand until mixture is yellow. Add honey and milk, then egg. Stir with wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed. Scoop spoonful of dough and drop onto cookie sheet. Leave 1 inch between each. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Serve warm with honey and butter, Yum!

Quick, easy (a 3 year old can make them), and delicious, but definitely needs more cinnamon. Served with honey and butter I don't think it needs more sweetness in the recipe. Chose this recipe precisely because it does not add refined sugar.
Mixed as directed, the final egg leaves a nice egg wash all over for a beautiful golden colour.
