4 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
2 eggs

Cream shortening and extract together. Add sugar and eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add alternately dry ingredients and milk. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Flatten top with back of spoon and sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes. For variety you may add chocolate, peanut butterscotch chips.
