WHITE FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/3 c. corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla, rum or brandy flavoring
1/4 c. candied cherries
1 c. walnuts

Combine sugar, sour cream, corn syrup, salt and butter. Heat to 236 degrees or soft ball stage. Remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes. Add flavoring. Beat about 8 minutes until candy loses gloss. Add fruit and nuts. Pour in greased 8x8 pan.
