SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE | |
1 c. vegetable shortening 3 c. sugar 6 egg yolks 3 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sour cream 6 beaten egg whites 1 tsp. vanilla or more if desired Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks one at a time, creaming well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to shortening sugar mixture. Add sour cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add vanilla. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees in a greased tube pan. |
