HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
3 med. potatoes
3 slices bacon
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2-3 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. celery seeds
Dash of pepper
1/3 c. water
2 tbsp. vinegar

Cube potatoes and boil. Fry bacon slowly in skillet; drain. Crumble. Saute onion in bacon fat until light brown. Blend in cornstarch and seasonings. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in water and vinegar, boil 1 minute. Stir in potatoes and crumbled bacon. Cover, let stand until ready to serve. Makes 2 servings.
