CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
3 sticks butter, softened
6 eggs, at room temperature
3 c. all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
3 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and add sugar, cream cheese, making sure to cream well. Add eggs, one at a time, beat after each addition. Add flour, one cup at a time, and mix well. Add about 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Put oven shelf on next to last slot from bottom. Bake about 1 hour and 15 minutes on 275 degrees. Put in cold oven.
