SAVORY SPARE RIBS 
1 side of spare ribs
1 c. olive oil
1/2 c. tamari (soy sauce)
4 tbsp. honey
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh ground pepper
1/2 c. garlic cloves, peeled and halved

Mix all ingredients and pour over ribs in a shallow roasting pan. Let ribs marinate as long as possible - overnight in the refrigerator is the least, 2 days is the best. Pour off the marinade and put ribs in a slow oven (300 degrees) for 3-4 hours, pouring off fat from time to time. These are fine served hot or lukewarm.
