TUNA AND RICE | |
1 tsp. salt 2 c. rice (long grain) 4 c. water 1 (12 oz.) can tuna (Star Kist water pack is best) 1 lg. family size can cream of mushroom soup (Campbells) 1/3 c. milk Two saucepans will be needed. Cook rice according to directions on package. Bring water to boil and add rice, boil for 10 to 12 minutes. Turn heat to simmer, cover with lid and set aside. In separate saucepan, combine can of cream of mushroom soup, 1/3 cup milk and simmer, then drain water off tuna and add tuna to soup mixture. Increase heat to medium. When thoroughly heated, place rice on dinner plate and cover with tuna sauce. This is a great fast meal and is wonderful when served with fresh steamed broccoli or green beans. Joey prefers corn. |
