BRAISED CABBAGE 
1 sm. green cabbage
1 red apple
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. water

Wash and core cabbage, then slice coarsely. Wash and core apple (DO NOT PEEL), quarter and slice coarsely. Melt butter in large non- stick skillet. Add water, cabbage, and apple. Add sugar, salt, and cinnamon; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Remove cover and continue to cook 10 more minutes.
