BRAISED RED CABBAGE | |
1 lg. red cabbage 1/4 c. butter 1 can applesauce 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. red wine vinegar Cut cabbage in half, remove core. Wash and clean, cut in 1/2" slices. Melt butter, add cabbage and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring once. Stir in applesauce, salt and vinegar. Cover. Cook over low heat, 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. |
