POLISH SAUSAGE WITH RED CABBAGE 
1 med. size head red cabbage
Boiling water
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. red wine
1/4 c. sugar
Salt and pepper
2 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 lb. Polish sausage

Shred cabbage; scald with boiling water and drain. Pour lemon juice over cabbage. Melt butter. Add cabbage and the next 5 ingredients. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Top with sausage and continue cooking 15 minutes longer. Makes 4 servings.
