BANANA NUT LOAF 
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. Kellogg's All Bran
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas (3 or 4)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. nuts

Blend shortening and sugar, cream well. Add egg and beat. Add All Bran, bananas and flavoring. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together. Add to first mixture with nutmeats. Stir until flour disappears. Bake in greased loaf pan (with paper in bottom) for 1 hour in moderate oven, 350-375 degrees.
