FRUIT SQUARES 
FIRST LAYER:

6 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour

SECOND LAYER:

2 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. cherries, chopped
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream the butter and beat in brown sugar. Add sifted flour and pat crust in 8"x12" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Mix all ingredients for second layer and spread on crust. Bake again for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and cut into squares. 24 servings.
