SPECIAL OCCASION BREAD 
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. water
4 c. flour
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk

FILLING:

3 egg whites, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. sugar
Dates
Nuts

Soften yeast in water, stir in 3 tablespoons sugar. Stir egg yolks and add milk. Sift flour and salt together, cut in shortening. Stir in yeast mixture and egg yolks. Form into ball and chill overnight. Divide dough in 3 parts. Roll out and spread sugar, cinnamon and egg white on dough. Add dates and nuts. Roll up and let rise until double. Put on baking sheet. Bake in oven 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost.
