CHOCOLATE OATMEAL PEANUT BARS 
2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 pkg. semi - sweet chocolate chips
2/3 c. creamy peanut butter
1/3 c. chopped dry roasted peanuts

Beat butter and sugar until creamy; stir in corn syrup, vanilla and oats, blending thoroughly. Pat dough evenly over bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool in pan on rack, then cover and refrigerate until cold. Meanwhile, place chips and peanut butter in pan. Stir over low heat until melted. Spread over baked crust, sprinkle with peanuts. Keep refrigerated until firm. Cut into bars. Store, covered, in refrigerator.
