1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1/2 cup milk 2 cups granulated sugar 2 heaping tbsp. Peter Pan Peanut butter 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups quick oats In a large pan on medium heat, melt butter completely then add milk and sugar. Stir continuously. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. No longer. Turn burner off, add vanilla and peanut butter to smooth out the peanut butter. Add oats, blend together then drop on wax paper or cookie sheet. Tater's method: Break it down: On a electric stove top - I melt the butter completely then add milk and sugar. When I cannot stir the boiling down I start my 3 minute count. After the 3 minutes is done I turn the burner off keeping the pan on the burner, I add the vanilla and peanut butter, stir to melt the butter add the oats slowly. Then drop them on a cookie sheet.
