FEED AN ARMY LASAGNA | |
9-12 lasagna noodles 1 1/2 lbs. hamburger meat 1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste 1 (12 oz.) Ricotta cheese 1 (8 oz.) cottage cheese 3 cloves garlic 2 eggs Cheddar cheese Mozzarella cheese Basil Oregano (Cheddar and Mozzarella amounts are left to your personal taste). Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil noodles 16-20 minutes or at desired tenderness. Brown hamburger meat. Midway add chopped onion, mashed garlic cloves, oregano, salt and pepper. After meat is browned add can tomato paste with approximately 1 1/2 cans water. Simmer at low heat for 10 minutes. Sauce should be thick. In bowl mix together Ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and oregano. Mix until all are blended. When sauce and noodles are done take a 9 x 13 inch pan and prepare to layer. Place first layer of noodles (usually 3-4) in pan. Spread meat sauce over layer then the cheese mixture. Sprinkle small amount of Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese. Begin new layer. After layers are done sprinkle the rest of Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese on top. Place in oven for 30-40 minutes. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving. Serve with tossed salad and garlic bread. This recipe will feed up to 10. For less just use half of printed recipe. |
