BEER CHEESE SOUP 
1 1/2 qts. chicken broth
1/8 lb. butter
1/2 c. flour
1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 pts. warm beer
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped parsley
1/2 c. chopped chives

Melt butter and add flour. Whip until golden. Add hot broth, bring to boil, stirring often. Add vegetables and cook 20 minutes. Add cheese and beer and let come to a boil. Remove from heat and serve with popcorn.
