PENNSYLVANIA SHOO FLY PIE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
Unbaked pie crust

1/2 c. molasses
1 1/3 c. cold water
1 tsp. baking soda

Put about 6 tablespoons liquid into bottom of pie crust. Spread some crumb mixture on top. Alternate layers wet and dry ingredients ending with dry crumbs.

Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes, then 375 degrees for abut 30 minutes.
