CITRUS BEER PUNCH | |
6 lemons 2 c. sugar 2 c. water 1 c. grapefruit juice, chilled 2 (12 oz.) cans light beer, chilled Cracked ice, lemon slices Remove peel from 6 lemons and set aside; juice lemons (you should have about 2 cups of juice). In large saucepan stir together sugar and water. Bring to boil; add reserved lemon peel. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Remove and discard lemon peel. Add lemon juice and grapefruit juice to sugar mixture. Transfer to a 2 1/2 to 3 quart pitcher. Cove and chill completely. To serve add beer, pour over cracked ice and serve with lemon slices. Makes about 8 (8 ounce) servings. |
