NEW ENGLAND BOILED DINNER 
3-4 lbs. pot roast or stew meat

Flour and brown in skillet in lite oil. Have large kettle; place meat in. Put cut potatoes, carrots, onions, turnip. The last 20 minutes before it's done, put in 1/2 a cabbage. This can be done with Polish sausage or other meat also. Cover with water; cook until done. Thicken with flour and water during final 30 minutes of cooking, if desired.

Serve with biscuits or bannock bread.
