EASY PEPPER STEAK 
1 lb. New York Strip or Eye of Round
1 med. onion
3 tbsp. dry cooking sherry
3 tbsp. light soy sauce
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
MSG (optional)
1/2 to 1 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Slice meat into thin strips. Slice onion. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in wok or frying pan. Saute onions for 1 minute and add meat. Saute until pinkness is gone. Add 1 teaspoon MSG, if desired. Add sherry and soy sauce. Add up to 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper. Stir and cover. Simmer 1 to 2 minutes on low heat. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
