WAVERLY WAFER DELIGHT 
3 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. sugar (granulated)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. crushed nuts
14 strips Waverly Wafers, broken up (coarse)
1 can pie filling - blueberry, cherry, peach or apricot, chilled
1 sm. Cool Whip, chilled

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cream of tartar, sugar and vanilla. Add nuts and crackers. Pat into 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. When cool, spread with Cool Whip and then pie filling. Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
