THUMBPRINT COOKIES 
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 lb. butter
2 egg yolks (lg.)
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
your favorite flavors of jelly or jam

Oven, 400 (until brown).

Cream butter, sugar, and butter. Drop in egg yolks and stir. Sift in flour and mix. It will be like pie crust - crumbly. Roll into balls about 1 inch in size. Put on cookie sheet 2 inches apart; flatten a little, then put a nice thumb print in the middle. Put the jelly or jam in and bake until light to medium brown.
