STUFFED ARTICHOKES 
Choose desired number of artichokes; cut off tops. Wash and drain upside down. Mix together Italian bread crumbs, garlic (or garlic powder) with Romano cheese. Prepare "chokes" by liberally adding olive oil first into leaves then lemon juice. Next fill with bread crumbs mixture, use more olive oil. Set them in tin foil in pan but do not close up foil.

Use a double boiler or other type steamer. Bring water to boil in pot before placing artichokes in. Now steam on a low fire (about 3 hours).
