1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. rum flavoring

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan; add water and cook until thickened. Remove from heat; add butter and flavoring. Serve on pie.
