RAISIN WALNUT COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, butter or vegetable shortening
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. Grape Nuts Flakes or 40% Bran Flakes
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. raisins

Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Cream butter gradually, add sugar, beating well after each addition. Add egg and beat well. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Stir in cereal, nuts and raisins. Drop from teaspoon on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until golden brown. Store in tightly covered container. Makes about 4 dozen.
