WALNUT ICE BOX COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. black walnuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix and shape into 1 1/2 inch rolls. Wrap in waxed paper, freeze overnight. Slice very thinly (1/8 inch). Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until barely brown on edges.
