MEXICAN WEDDING CAKES | |
1 c. butter 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Extra confectioners' sugar Optional ingredients 1 c. chopped walnuts Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Cream until smooth. Add flour, salt, vanilla and blend. Mixture will be stiff. Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Roll in confectioners' sugar as soon as they are removed from oven. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen. |
