1 (16 oz.) pkg. Ricotta cheese 2 c. Mozzarella cheese 1/4 c. Romano cheese 1/2 lb. Italian sausage 1/2 to 3/4 c. frozen spinach 1 egg 1 lg. can commercial or homemade pasta sauce (spaghetti or marinara) Cook pasta preference according to directions. Brown sausage in 10 inch skillet. Drain. Cook spinach according to package directions or place in small bowl with 1/2 cup water in microwave for approximately 2 minutes. Drain. Combine sausage and spinach along with remaining ingredients except sauce in large bowl. Fill pasta tubes or shells or place 1/2 cup mixture on lasagna noodle and roll up. Place in greased 13 x 9 or appropriate size shallow baking dish and cover with sauce. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Mozzarella. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Fills approximately 12 large shells |
