STRAWBERRY NUT CAKE 
1 pkg. Duncan Hines Strawberry Supreme cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding, sm.
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
4 eggs
1/2 c. Crisco oil
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Put cake mix, pudding, buttermilk, eggs and oil into bowl. Beat for 2 or 3 minutes. Add nuts at end of beating time. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes in a tube pan or 35 minutes in 8 or 9 inch pans. Cool 15 minutes and remove cake.

FLUFFY ICING:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. white shortening
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Combine 2 level tablespoons flour with 1 cup milk. Cook, stirring until it boils. COOL, then add 2 teaspoons vanilla; set aside. In bowl, cream 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening. Add 1 cup sugar and beat at high speed until peaks. Add cooked part and beat again until light and fluffy. Serves 12.
