STRAWBERRY-FIG PRESERVES 
3 c. mashed figs
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry Jello
3 c. sugar

Wash, peel and mash figs. Place figs, Jello and sugar in large pan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and continue to boil 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often. Pour boiling hot preserves into jars, leaving 1/4" headspace. Adjust lids. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
