FIG - STRAWBERRY PRESERVES | |
3 c. finely chopped figs (about 20 med. size figs) 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) or 1 pkg. (6 oz.) strawberry Jello 3 c. sugar For lighter preserves, peel dark figs Thoroughly mix figs, gelatin and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and boil 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour quickly into hot sterilized glass jars. Cover at once with 1/8 inch hot paraffin. Cool then store in refrigerator. Makes 4 (8 ounce) glass jars. |
