“GRANMA'S BROWNIES” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  HOMEMADE BROWNIES

GRANMA'S BROWNIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar and salt in large bowl and set aside. In a saucepan melt butter, water and cocoa and bring to boil. Pour over the flour mixture.

Stir in buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla. Pour into a greased brownie pan with sides and bake at 400°F for 12 - 15 minutes.

Frosting:

1/3 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil. While boiling, add sugar, salt and vanilla.

Pour over the still-warm brownies.

These are my Grandmother's brownies and they are heavenly!!
