CHICKEN A LA KING | |
2 cans chunk chicken breast in water 1 (8 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (reserve 1/4 c. liquid) 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 c. milk 1 3/4 c. chicken broth Cook butter, mushrooms, green pepper and onions for 5 minutes in medium saucepan. Slowly add flour. Cook until mixture is simmering. Remove from heat. Stir in milk, broth and mushroom liquid. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Add drained chicken. Heat through and serve over biscuits, noodles or rice. |
