1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. red food coloring
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs. Mix cocoa and food coloring together and mix into creamed mixture. Mix soda and vinegar into buttermilk. Mix flour and buttermilk mixture alternately to creamed mixture, add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
