GROUND BEEF CHOW MEIN | |
2 lb. ground beef 1/2 tsp. salt 2-3 tbsp. soy sauce 1 c. water 1 c. celery, sliced 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1 beef bouillon cube 1 medium onion, chopped 1 can chinese beanspouts or chow mein vegetables 2 tbsp. water Use Dutch oven. Brown hamburger, drain. Add mushrooms, salt, ginger, soy sauce, bouillon cube and water. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add onion, celery and beansprouts. Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water and stir into mixture. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve over a bed of rice and/or chow mein noodles. Serves 4-6. Submitted by: Shari Shields |
