SALLY'S APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. peeled, cored and thick sliced Delicious apples
1 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In mixer, beat oil and sugar together, add eggs and beat together until they are creamy. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda. Stir into batter with wooden spoon. Add all the remaining ingredients. Stir to blend. Batter will turn brown, not to worry.

Turn mixture into a buttered and floured 9-inch angel food tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool in pan, before turning out. Serve with ice cream at room temperature. Good for fall apples!
