APPLE CHIP CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
3 eggs, beaten well
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
3 c. chopped uncooked apples (Red Delicious)
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix oil and sugar well; add beaten eggs. Add apples, nuts, flour, salt and soda. Then add vanilla and cinnamon; mix well. Bake in a tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1/4 c. cream
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix butter and sugar and heat until melted. Add cream and vanilla. Bring to a full boil. Cool before putting on cake.
